What I now realize is that the reason I am having trouble is that I keep coming back to the idea that popped into my head at 2:00am and am having trouble staying focused on the task at hand.
The aforementioned idea is that of creating a ‘Mash-up’ for my final project. In between responding to my peers’ posts I have been distracted by finding out more about converting online video to wmv. I have read about youtube's court case against a conversion site. I have downloaded several converters that do not work, and I have been side-tracked by several of the presenters whom I wish to sample in my video.
So, I have decided to use this post as a planning session for my final project and use it as my first documentation of my progress and thinking along the way.
My to-do list.
1. Find out if I can actually sample other people’s work and submit it as my own for the purpose of this course seeing as it will likely be ‘out there’ versus a file for our professor’s eyes only.
2. Get a lesson from someone or online on how to use imovie on my new macbook or determine if I can do what I want using my Windows Movie Maker on my PC.
3. Decide which concepts I want to cover during my presentation (Open Education, CC, OER’s, MOOC’s etc.)
4. Determine which speakers I would like to sample and find out if I can capture parts of their videos or if I have to download larger videos and cut them apart.

5. See if I can book the stage at the high school beside me and setup the lighting for a ‘pretend’ TED talk stage on which I can present.
- create a slide that says ANDREW Talk
I’m not sure how much this post gives people to respond to. It has simply let me document my thoughts for the day and allowed me a chance to figure out a plan for the coming weeks.
I hope if anyone has any thoughts or recommendations for me that they will let me know.
Cheers,
Andrew
